St Jude’s is located in Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital. Most visitors to St Jude’s also enjoy a safari before or after coming to the school, visiting remarkable locations including the Serengeti Plains, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park.
If you take a safari, you’ll get to spot amazing animals including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras and rhinos, from the comfort of a four-wheel-drive safari car!
It’s just a short flight from Arusha to beautiful, tropical Zanzibar or other East African countries known for their wildlife, including Rwanda and Kenya.
If you’d like to add a safari to your St Jude’s trip, take a look at
Safaris-R-Us, the company run by Gemma and Richard Sisia. Safaris-R-Us can organise camping and lodge safaris in Tanzania, Rwanda and Kenya. They can also organise transport, flights within East Africa, guides, cooks, accommodation, food, tents, mattresses, parking fees etc. All you have to do is bring your camera! Safaris-R-Us donates US$50 to St Jude’s for each person who books a trip with them.
