Staff

The backbone of our school

The School of St Jude is proud to employ over 300 staff. Our strategic plan emphasises the importance of local leadership, and while St Jude’s employs a small number of international staff, our employees are largely Tanzanian.

Staff at St Jude’s can be broadly divided into academic and non-academic teams.
St Jude’s academic staff include over 100 teachers, headmasters, deputy headmasters and heads of departments, all of whom are Tanzanian. It’s these people who work directly with students every day to fight poverty through education.

Non-academic staff also have an important part in the success of St Jude’s. These staff include Head Office employees in finance, fundraising, marketing, sponsorship, HR and facilities teams as well as cleaners, bus drivers, gardeners, guards and cooks.
